Dear Members and Friends,

We are excited to announce a special group visit to the National Memorial Arboretum on Tuesday, 10th September 2024. This unique excursion promises not just a day of remembrance but also a wonderful opportunity to experience the serene beauty and poignant history of one of the UK's most revered sites.

Set against the tranquil backdrop of Staffordshire's lush landscapes, the National Memorial Arboretum serves as a living tribute to those who have served and sacrificed. Our day will begin early at 6.30am for a 6.45am departure from Cole Court, setting off for an enriching journey filled with history and remembrance.

Upon our 10:00 AM arrival, we will be warmly welcomed by the Arboretum staff. Enjoy a comforting break with tea and coffee as we prepare to immerse ourselves in the day's activities. At 10:50 AM, we will gather in the Chapel to participate in the day's Remembrance Service at 11:00 AM, a moving ceremony honouring our heroes.

Before our tour, relax with a delightful lunch featuring a choice of either meat, fish, or vegetarian options. The highlight of our visit includes a guided tour aboard the Land Train at 1.30pm. This 50-minute journey will unveil the Arboretum's poignant memorials and lush landscapes, offering insights and stories that bring the grounds to life.

Post the land train, seize the opportunity for some free time to explore the grounds at your leisure, absorbing the tranquil environment and discovering personal connections to the stories echoed through the memorials.

We will reconvene at 4pm PM to depart, returning to Cole Court by 7:00 PM, reflecting on a day well spent.

Priced at £55 per person, this visit is not just a day out, but a meaningful experience to share with family and friends. We encourage you to invite your loved ones to join us for this memorable day.

Spaces are limited, so please book early to secure your spot for a day full of reflection, discovery, and community.
